MetaWinners NFTs are not only stylish and modern; they also represent the identity of their owners within the Metawin community, serving as a personal badge in the Web3 world.
Upon its release on the Fair.xyz platform, there was a strong initial interest in the MetaWinners NFTs. This was due to its large community response and a pre-sale whitelist of 45,000 people.
The presale price for the NFTs was 0.03 Ethereum (ETH), and they were sold for 0.04 ETH during the final minting. The collection quickly sold out, with all 10,000 pieces gone in under 4 hours, surpassing the expectations of many, including Gamdom casino players.
‘We're thrilled with the response to launch and selling out the entire collection! It's fantastic seeing the drive of the community in action and we're excited for the future of the project’, the project’s spokesperson said.

District attorney shuts down NFT scam sites
The District Attorney (DA) of Brooklyn announced that his office had closed down 40 fake NFT marketplace websites after an 85-year-old artist was tricked out of $135,000 by a scammer. The victim was approached on LinkedIn by someone pretending to be an art dealer.
The suspect persuaded the 85-year-old painter to create NFTs of his artwork on a fake marketplace that looked like the real New York-based OpenSea website. He was then informed that he had earned $300,000 in profit, but to access this money, he needed to pay a $135,000 fee.
The NFT artist raised this amount by cashing out his retirement savings, using credit cards, and taking out a loan. He soon realised and understood that he would not receive the promised $300,000, which left him feeling ‘emotionally and financially shattered’.
DA Eric Gonzalez stated that the ‘methods used in this case’ helped investigators discover a group of fake websites that targeted artists for scams. ‘I hope that by shutting these domains and raising awareness about this scheme, we will prevent others from falling victim to this scam’, Gonzalez said.
His office mentioned that two other artists, one from Georgia and another from California, also became victims of the same NFT scam. The DA’s Virtual Currency Unit tracked the money to accounts at an exchange in Nigeria, which mainly converted it to Nigerian currency, making it difficult to recover the funds.
